[One of the very best things about Beacon was the fact that they no longer had to seek out somewhere to camp every. single. night. Actually having their own place, somewhere to go back to at the end of the day, was a luxury that none of them had had for a while. It was nice. Nice enough that he really didn't understand what he was doing out here in the middle of the forest, leading his merry band of dorks to the camping spot they had used on the way to the armory.

But they had the makings for smores, two bottles of stolen liquor and a borrowed torch. The fact that it was technically to give the two adults among them a break really didn't faze him.

Now if only Gladio were here to help them make a tent.]

[Perhaps it is simply a matter of another voice speaking the words that finally seems to calm those voices within his mind that always seem so loud. That if Luna believed it so deeply, then perhaps it was true.] Yeah. We made up a couple days later. [Obviously, considering the absolutely ridiculous things he's been sending this poor man for the past couple of hours.]

... Want me to fire him?

[ She pets his cheeks very gently, smiling again. ] I'm glad. Fights and jealousy are normal, I think... but I hope that you realize that he loves you just as much as you love him. You two need one another. [ That last bit, though, has her shaking her head. Which is a mistake, because the world suddenly isn't staying still. ]

No! No, of course not. It was a mutual... thing. I just... I don't know what we are. I hope you aren't too disappointed...

Oh, I definitely know how much he loves me. [Do you see this look he's giving you right now, Luna? It's the look of someone who definitely comes down stairs in the morning limping far worse than they should be trying to cover up the bruises on his neck because his boyfriend doesn't know how to not use his teeth.]

I'm glad. [ Things she does not need to visualize: everything he's just described. Honestly.... ]

...I don't know what I am supposed to feel. I don't even know how to talk to him now.

[ ....isn't he? ]

No. Not at all... I just wish that things weren't so awkward. It all happened so fast, Noctis... we were having an argument, and then he kissed me. And things... just went from there.

[Does she want details?

Shifting, he pushes himself up slowly, twisting around until he's next to her, hands patting his lap to indicate that she should take his place.]

Sometimes things just happen, Luna. It doesn't mean they're wrong.

[ If they're exchanging deets...

She is grateful to swap places with him, gently placing her head onto his lap and closing her eyes. ]

That may be, but I wish that I could talk to him and see how he feels now. I'm not sure how I feel, other than I want things to be normal between us again.

[ She pauses, brow furrowing. ]

If my brother were here, he would be so ashamed of me...

[Slender fingers slowly move through her hair, brushing out silky blond strands until they lay smooth against the cloth of the pants he wears.]

You know there's nothing to be ashamed of, right? [He wants to say that her brother can go get fucked, but he, somehow, keeps that little bit to himself.]

What's stopping you?

[ She slowly opens her eyes again, peering up at the poor young king. It's nice to be able to have these conversations, because like Noctis places his trust in her, she places hers in him. He's her very best friend, and she's... extremely blessed to have him in her life. ]

I know. But I just... [ She chews on her lower lip. ] I don't know how to even start any sort of conversation with him about... the incident. I don't know what to do. What if he hates me now?

[Noctis is likely the very last person she should be getting any sort of relationship advice from. Especially considering everything he had just admitted to her about his own issues. But, well, he understands what it is to feel something and not understand it.]

First, you should probably stop calling it 'the incident'. Second, maybe you could try flirting with him? Send him a text and see how he responds.

[ That very well may be, but she trusts Noctis and she knows that he wouldn't lead her down the wrong path here. She knows that he won't judge her. ]

I... I don't know what else to call it. Flirting... I don't know how to do that. But perhaps a text would be a good start...

[Never, under any circumstances, would he ever even think to judge her.]

[ It's okay. She's... not the sharpest at the moment, either. ]

That's adorable... though perhaps I should just. Let things go. It was a one time thing... it isn't that big of a deal.

It was your first, right? [Because honestly, when would either of them have ever had the chance before coming here? Not when they were younger and definitely not once they had become engaged.] That's a big deal, Luna.

Yes, embarrassing as that is to admit. [ She looks off to the side again. ] Maybe... but it was just one time, and it is over. So it doesn't really matter in the big scheme of things...

Hey... [Gentle finger grasp her chin, slowly encouraging her to turn back and face him.] Don't be embarrassed, okay? Iggy was my first.

Yes... but... [ When prompted, she does tilt her head back to stare up at him again. ] It is embarrassing because that sort of intimacy is meant for people who are in love and who know one another. What we did was... extremely impulsive.

You are making this way too complicated. [And it's starting to hurt his head.] You are gorgeous and I'm pretty sure you like him. He's cute as fuck and I know he likes you. Give it a shot. You never know. It might turn out great.
