Running To Beat The Morning - Closed To Dawn

( She slips out early, or at least, she thinks it's early, careful not to wake the boys sleeping within the boathouse. Kairi heads down to the waterline to meet up with Dawn, who has undoubtedly already been waiting for her for a good while. It's become a daily routine for the two of them, meeting up in the morning to go running along the shoreline of the beach. It's something that has brought her a bit of comfort, something to look forward to. Dawn's presence is a breath of fresh air, whether they are having a conversation about whatever happens to be on their mind or simply sitting in comfortable silence. There's a warmth there between them, different from what she has with Riku, yet special in it's own right.

Kairi has adopted a unique wardrobe for their morning runs. She's taken to wearing various pairs of drawstring shorts she's found at the general store, as well as various vintage t-shirts, cut off at her midriff to compensate for the fact that they are usually way too big for her small frame. Those are typically the easiest to find, given the lack of available sizing. She doesn't mind too much. They're comfortable to move in, at least, making them ideal for training. Her dress is fine, but she often finds that she can't move how she'd like to while wearing it. The last thing she wants to do is hold Dawn back by not being able to function at her best.

The two of them take off along the shoreline, as per usual, starting off at a fairly relaxed pace that will undoubtedly get faster later on. Either way, it does well enough to get her blood flowing and wake her up fully. She glances over where Dawn runs beside her at a comfortable pace, and can't help but smile gently. )

...Hey, thanks for coming with me every day. It wouldn't be the same without you.

Rainy Days And Mondays - August 5th through the 10th - OPEN

( Storms like this are something that she's pretty used to. Growing up on a remote island meant there were plenty of storms that had crashed upon the shores, tropical waters acting as a magnifier to turn normal storms into monsters. Rain would pour down upon them, the waves would turn turbulent in the sea, and winds would nearly blow palm trees over where they stood. There were many times when they had helped the town rebuild things that had taken damage, as well, so it seems only natural that Kairi would help those who found themselves taken off guard by the storm.

Those who are out during the storm will find Kairi standing in doorways or running here and there, wearing a yellow poncho. It isn't the most stylish choice, but it works pretty well to keep her lantern covered and protected from the rain. Either way, she's here to help whoever needs it! And, undoubtedly, she'll be making runs by the bonfire just to make sure it isn't going out or getting swept away by the rains.

For the inhabitants of the boathouse, Kairi can be found at times plugging holes to keep water from seeping inside, keeping an eye on the water levels, just in case they may be rising dangerously, or shivering in one of the corners away from the door, having gotten damp from being outside during this downpour. )

Arts and Crafts - Invincible Common Area - Early August - OPEN

( Kairi has taken up residence at one of the tables inside the Invincible common area and seems to be making something. Well, multiple somethings. There are various materials that she's collected along the way, bits of twine, a couple of seashells, felt, a sewing needle and thread, nail polish, and other items easily found around the general store and Invincible that didn't seem to belong to anyone.

Sticking her tongue out of one side of her lips, she seems to concentrate on using the paints to draw something on one of the shells she's picked up, bent over the table's surface as if that might help her in her task.
