[One of the very best things about Beacon was the fact that they no longer had to seek out somewhere to camp every. single. night. Actually having their own place, somewhere to go back to at the end of the day, was a luxury that none of them had had for a while. It was nice. Nice enough that he really didn't understand what he was doing out here in the middle of the forest, leading his merry band of dorks to the camping spot they had used on the way to the armory.
But they had the makings for smores, two bottles of stolen liquor and a borrowed torch. The fact that it was technically to give the two adults among them a break really didn't faze him.
Now if only Gladio were here to help them make a tent.]

[Taking a step back he turned to face away from Prompto, lifting a hand to his face, fingers slipping into his hand and nails digging into his scalp.]

Listen...don't worry too much about it. You said it yourself, I'll find someone eventually. I'm not mad at you or anything.
[Just a little upset. And just a little worried about saying anything at all. Should he have just kept up with the light flirting, even if it ultimately went nowhere? He might not have found out about his friends had he not said anything, but then it would be all the more disappointing later. Maybe he should have kept his feelings to himself several minutes ago.]
