EVENT LOG: GATHER UP

EVENT LOG:
GATHER UP
characters: everyone.
location: beacon at large.
date/time: september 16-25.
content: a town-wide selfie scavenger hunt!
warnings: unflattering camera angles.
🔎📸😘
It starts with a network post, and then a song begins to play in the Invincible, loud enough to be heard throughout Bonfire Square. Welcome to the scavenger hunt, everyone! You've been tasked with finding 25 "items" in and around Beacon, so hop to it!
Please remember to ICly report your findings on Robin's network post if you want them to count toward a prize! As a further reminder, you're free to interpret the list items however you/your character would like, and you're free to assume your character can find all of these things somewhere in town without running into trouble! Just don't stray too far from town to go gallivanting off into the wilderness, as that might be dangerous. This includes finding forest spirits! You're welcome to NPC your own forest spirit encounters, just like in our last event.
That said, if you would like to search a particular area for a fun surprise, let us know below!

[Two vials, one a worrying red, the other a clear liquid. They're both unnaturally warm to hold, but it shan't burn him. The smell is pretty gross, though.]
The list was numbered by what we can potentially fake. I can act as hard-won friend or what have you easily enough.

[No harm in that, really. It's just a silly scavenger hunt, and for all his positive traits, honesty has never actually been one of them, especially when there's something to be gained with a harmless fabrication. He sets his lantern down to take the vials.]
Well, the ones I suggested are good enough, and true enough too. I'm not desperate to go after every single item. What are these?

[A beat, and then, vaguely:]
I'm attempting to make artificial blood.

Artificial blood, huh. Useful if you run out of donors, I guess. It's a shame that's something we have to consider here.
[He's certain they'll be attacked again. If not by forest spirits, then by something else they don't even know about yet, for he's under no illusion that with the recent announcements they now know all the possible threats to their existence. Maybe blood donation is something they should be doing. Maybe Ms. Lutece is already arranging that and he just hasn't heard about it, in fact.]

[Which isn't meant to be dismissive. He appreciates curiosity. Never thought anyone would get curious about making artificial blood for their own entertainment, but hell. The medically-inclined are strange people.]

How much do you know about quantum physics?
no subject
I learned some very basic physics once. Don't know what a quantum is.

That's... Have you done that before?
[Is that how they got here, someone did something quantum or other? Individual people can wield that sort of power?
That strikes him as deeply unsafe in the wrong hands, and questionably responsible here. But also? Awesome. In the truest sense of the word.]
