It starts with a network post, and then a song begins to play in the Invincible, loud enough to be heard throughout Bonfire Square. Welcome to the scavenger hunt, everyone! You've been tasked with finding 25 "items" in and around Beacon, so hop to it!

Please remember to ICly report your findings on Robin's network post if you want them to count toward a prize! As a further reminder, you're free to interpret the list items however you/your character would like, and you're free to assume your character can find all of these things somewhere in town without running into trouble! Just don't stray too far from town to go gallivanting off into the wilderness, as that might be dangerous. This includes finding forest spirits! You're welcome to NPC your own forest spirit encounters, just like in our last event.

[She picks up her things and darts inside, looking all around, as if assessing. Finally, she decides on a spot, and holds up her tablet.]

Let's take a picture!

[Jason wonders if he should ask about all that stuff she's carrying. He looks from it to Mary and then back to the door.

Okay then.]

A picture? Oh, this is for that scavenger hunt...did you have something specific in mind?

[He had noticed the post and been contemplating participating, though first he wanted to get some ideas of where to look before just wandering around blindly. Mary seemed to have a different strategy in mind.]

Hmmm...

[The answer seems to be "not really" if you consider that she doesn't have an immediate answer, but then raises her arms.]

Pick me up!

[Jason raises an eyebrow, but then just shrugs, stepping closer so as to pick her up. There's definitely a smile forming as he easily lifts her.]

You want on my shoulders? That could make for a good picture.

[He may not have any younger siblings of his own, but he'd always kept an eye out for the younger campers. He had a soft spot for them and that was clearly not going to stop here, even after witnessing Mary in action during capture the flag. Honestly that may have endeared her to him more, he was more or less used to small children with a penchant for sharp weapons.

That was sort of the norm at both camps.]

Yeah! Yeah!

[Perfect idea! Jason is so, so smart! She laughs as he lifts her, and she's so, so light--it wouldn't have been hard to pick her up even if he wasn't a demigod.]

Shall we make pretty faces, or funny faces?

[There is no problem lifting her and honestly Jason could probably leave her up there all day and not get tired. He tilts his head back a bit to get a look at her.]

I think funny. You're on my shoulders, so we should just keep making it funny. Besides, I think everyone would enjoy a funny picture.

[He also wasn't entirely sure how he would go about making a "pretty face" and at least "funny" he had context first.]

Okay!

[She holds out the tablet to make sure they they can get a good picture together, keeping a decent portion of the room around them in view. And then she screws up her eyes, sticking out her tongue.]

Bleeeeh!

[That's her version of "say cheese" apparently.]

[While Mary sticks out her tongue, Jason sucks in a breath and puffs out his cheeks. He crosses his eyes too for added effect. He hopes she can take it fast though, despite being a master of the winds he doesn't necessarily have the ability to hold his breath forever.

An idea occurs to him at the last minute and before the selfie can be snapped Jason uses his control of the wind to blow Mary's hair in all directions.]

[As soon as the picture snaps and she gets a look at them in the tablet, Mary can't help but burst into wild laughter.]

How did you do that? It was perfect!

[He smiles brightly, not laughing but Mary's laughter is nice to hear all the same.]

I can control the wind. I thought it would be a nice effect to your picture. Tilt it so I can see.

[He wants to see how their picture turned out too. He also still has her on his shoulders because, well, why not?]

[Honestly she'll live up here as long as she can get away with it. Obligingly, she moves the tablet better into his field of vision.]

We look so funny! I love it! I think this is my favorite picture ever.

I think so too.

[Beat.]

Should we go show it off downstairs. We can literally hold it over people's heads.

[It's no fun just standing in the room if he's going to keep Mary on his shoulders, beside he can tell she's enjoying herself so might as well prolong it.]

Yeah!

[That sounds like amazing fun, and she's already laughing and kicking her legs, causing her to sway lightly on his shoulders.]

Onward! Away we go!

[He turns, though in an exaggerated fashion so as to give her a good spin around up there, and then heads for the door. He tilts his head up.]

Make sure to duck your head okay?

[Once he believes they have the clearance he's out the room and heading down the to the ground floor.]
