He's not the only one having a rough time. While Elektra had done a considerable amount of travel in her lifetime, none of it had been underwater and the pressure and movement have her feeling dizzy and sick to her stomach. She's spent most of the past half hour bent forward with her face in her hands, trying to remain as still as possible as they travel deeper underwater.

A sharp intake of breath draws her attention as she comes up for air, unable to focus on the source of the noise at first. When she does a puzzled expression crosses her face, but it doesn't take her long to realize the man isn't really asleep. He might not want to be bothered, either, but she recognizes troubled breathing when she hears it.
