notthatjason: (Awkward Much)

Jason steps back as soon as he hears someone approaching the door, not wanting to crowd anyone. Of course, by this point they'd all been living under the same roof for some time, but at least they'd all been able to get out in the past few days. He could tell just last week that staying indoors was about to drive everyone up a wall.

Jason looks down the hall at the other doors and rooms he had just checked and then back to Kuai. "Six rooms with seven people downstairs. I just started this floor. You being here makes four people in four rooms...not counting myself." He gestures at the room just next door, presumably the one that belonged to him. And it was JUST him now. He'd shared it with Ambrose for so long, it was strange to think that the warlock, along with so many others, was just gone. Would they be back or was this somehow different? He'd kept busy during the storm and hadn't always paid attention to who was leaving and who was staying or if they had gotten stuck in another building -- but they certainly hadn't messaged him on the tablet. It made him uneasy.

He shrugs at the observation, "Maybe. But you never know -- we've all been cooped up for awhile and it just seemed like the polite thing to say."
