"No one's too young to help the war effort," Fitz replies with his best Churchill impression, which is rather good. Vocal mimicry (and mockery) are skills of his. He continues in his own voice. "Nah, I played around in the rubble. And you were...older than you look?"

There's some careful consideration there. He's spent more time than he likes around old soldiers, and he's got an inkling Soldat's name may not be coincidental.
