[It feels like something of a loaded question even when that isn't the intention; because there are plenty of things he could say that sound good- that cast the situation into a certain light. But Bruce doesn't feel judgmental about it. Fear and worry, attempts to understand and even control what's happening around them, to feel capable- it's very human.
