Well, I mean, [ peter pauses, makes an uncertain sound as he chooses his words. ] It was a rescue mission, right? And we rescued everyone, but it just... didn't really go as planned.

[ sometimes he thinks if they didn't take that mission, maybe jean wouldn't have had to take that solar flare into herself. she would have been fine and none of rest would have happened. but it's too late for that now, even if he wishes things were different. ]

Kinda, yeah. But the book there was pretty helpful, and I'm sure I'll feel the same about this thing [ he points to his tablet ] once I get the hang of it. So maybe I can get a rain check on those questions once I, you know, get my afterlife legs under me properly.
