characters: elena gilbert, the lighthouse keeper.
location: the lighthouse.
date/time: december 8.
content: riku, quentin, and ambrose mail elena to the lighthouse in an attempt to heal robin's wounds.
warnings: broken bones/other injuries involving cuts and bruises, character death.

[Elena's trip from the post office and into the forest is a... jostly one, let's say! There's a lot of excited hooting, a lot of shuffling as her box is passed from forest spirit to forest spirit—though they are careful not to jostle the box too much, as apparently it's got fragile contents inside! After an hour or two of passing hands and presumably moving in some direction or another, though... The box is opened, and Elena-the-charm is removed from her lantern and placed on the ground.

When Elena transforms back into herself, she'll find herself in a cramped but cozy single-room living space, complete with a kitchenette and dining area, plus a door that looks to open in a small bathroom. The windows are dark, as always in Beacon, but the room itself is home to a roaring fireplace which does a nice job of lighting up the room, though fairy lights have been strung along the walls near the ceiling, and a bedside lamp is turned on.

Most importantly, though, Robin is standing a few feet away, in her pajamas with her arm in a sling, looking... frankly, rather horrified.]

How the hell did you...? Is this an illusion?

[Robin is indeed a normal seventeen-year-old upon initial inspection, in case anyone was wondering. She's bewildered! People don't just show up at the lighthouse!

She keeps her distance from Elena, though. It's been a while since she's seen another person.]

[ Elena gasps as she takes form again, looking around the room with wide, surprised eyes — because honestly? She hadn't been entirely sure this crazy plan would work. Magic is great for a lot of things... until it isn't. Then every involved is just screwed.

Beyond the fact that Robin's age reminds her heartbreakingly of Jeremy, what strikes her most is how bright the room is. This is the inside of the lighthouse? There's a fire here that casts light? ]

Nope, it's real... [ Shaking herself out of the daze of being in so much actual light for the first time in a while, Elena focuses on the other girl. On Robin. ]

My name's Elena. We saw you were hurt — I'm here to help.

Elena... Hi.

[She recognizes Elena, of course—at least in name. She's still reeling from the shock of all this, though. No one's supposed to be able to get out here.]

That's, um, that's really sweet of you, but you didn't need to... I mean, how are you going to get back? They'll kill you.

[Robin can try to stop them, and she will, but she tried with Winters, too. That didn't exactly work out.]
