content: A mingle log for rebuilding the docks and/or generally if you'd like to have your character help with a mini-project. Feel free to throw up your own TLs! I am also still on slowatus until the 6th but wanted to put this up with ample time before Sandman!
warnings: N/A. If you would like to handwave your involvement, please just lmk and I'll add you to a list or something so everyone can just assume your character was around

The wood, cut and planked, sits in a pile on the beach, covered in whatever tarp-like object can be found to keep it from getting wet. On the bright side, the ferry comes in when they finish gathering supplies for the dock - so they don't have to gather more, and they don't have to rebuild a ferry. Still, large trunks are prepared for weather and hammered into the water, and don't get much of a chance to stand alone before a small group of people descend on them to cobble together a little dock. Not as grand nor as finely-made as the previous one, it will be nonetheless sturdy and usable, with hopefully no further changes for the last two years it may need to exist.

[ He pulls out a large tartan thermos. ]

[Usually he avoids tea that isn't from home, knowing he'll be disappointed, but home isn't there anymore, and suddenly there's nothing he wants more in any galaxy.]

Um. Y-yes, thank you.

[ He pours Rook some in the cap. ]

Here you are. We're a little short on milk and sugar, but I've got biscuits!

[No, it isn't tea from home, but it smells close enough to right.]

Oh, nonsense, here, have a biscuit, dear.

[ He offers up both. ]

It'll keep you hardy for work.

Oh, alright. Well, here you are.

[ He's so nervous but honestly it's a nervewracking place, Aziraphale can only be kind and hope he becomes more comfortable. ]

[This is his normal level of nerves and unmotivated kindness just makes him more suspicious. But. Tea.]

Are you adjusting well to life here?

Yes. If you want, after this, we should probably get started on that greenhouse.

There is very much to do around here before we can worry about the fighting.

I, uh, think I'd be more useful with the greenhouse.

[He's not really much good at fighting, leaving aside how much more he wants to do, ever.]

N-not that I know, uh, a lot about... It's probably pretty easy to figure out.

[Though, while not an expert, he has to ask.]

What does a greenhouse accomplish without sunlight?

We'll make artificial light, Rook.

[ He snaps his fingers and brings down a little bit of a glow. It's not very bright, but it's definitely obvious. ]

[Bodhi's expression is one of mild surprise rather than shock.]

And that works on, um, a scale that'll grow plants?

We'll have to see about that.

Should at least be enough for an herb garden!

[Bodhi has no questions at all about prioritizing herb production. Food should taste like something.]

I suppose the plants that are already here must be doing... something.
