EVENT LOG: BURY A FRIEND

EVENT LOG:
BURY A FRIEND
characters: everyone.
location: around town.
date/time: october 9-17.
content: the hallucinations begin...
warnings: psychological horror. please cw tags appropriately.
it's probably something that shouldn't be said out loud
October 9 feels like a normal day at first, save for the red lighthouse beam cutting through the darkness overhead. You know by now—or you've heard—that the lighthouse is only active during ferry arrivals and events... And there's definitely no ferry docked at the, er. Beach. The town is quiet, the forest spirits behave business-as-usual, Rastus doesn't know what's up. Whatever's going on, you'll have to figure it out for yourself.
And you will, though the hallucinations are subtle at first: objects moving when they shouldn't, people's proportions looking just a bit off, voices in an empty room, and so on. Is it just your mind playing tricks in the darkness? Might be! Will did warn you all about the effects of living without a sun and a proper day/night cycle.
As the days go on, the hallucinations are harder to ignore, no matter how much you may wish to wave them off as flukes. What's wrong with everyone's faces? When did all the howling start? Who do you hold onto when the world drops out from under you? And those hands...
While you might know it can't be real, it certainly feels real. But at least it can't last forever!
...Right?

But you shouldn't... just want to do things for my sake, Crowley.
And you'd made your boundaries quite clear, and I don't want to overstep them.
no subject
Did you want a safe word or something? I didn't think we were starting there, but if that's what you want...?
no subject
So, he smiles incandescently. ]
What a splendid idea. Yes.
no subject
Well, that's just something to...go with. It's definitely not going to make Crowley a little nervous, definitely not at all. He's far too cool and casual to feel that.]
All right, we can do that.
I want whatever you want, angel.
no subject
Crowley, that's not how it works. You can't just go along with everything I want, otherwise the safeword doesn't really have a use.
no subject
I just wasn't expecting to need a safeword the first time we, you know----
[He gestures to their proximity in bed]
no subject
--Well, I hadn't either, but.
[ He turns a bit pink. ]
Suppose I can't help myself sometimes. You really are... beautiful, Crowley. Incredibly.
no subject
[He leans in, pressing a kiss to the angel's neck.]
Whatever your weird kink is, I can handle it. I'm a demon, I'm sure I've heard of stranger.
no subject
He places a hand on Crowley's chest. ]
Excuse me? I think we are having a miscommunication.
no subject
With what? I don't know exactly what you want----I assumed you'd tell me. You didn't strike me as the sort for whips and chains but if that's what you're into, I can be into it, too.
no subject
Whips and-- excuse me, have we completely changed the subject when I wasn't looking? I quite thought we were trying to discuss lovemaking.
no subject
I thought that's----you wanted a safeword?
no subject
[ Had Crowley thought that they were talking about fighting? And Aziraphale was still stuck on the sex thing? ]
My darling, I'm so sorry, I don't mean to be so... lascivious, I must just sound so awful. I sincerely promise you that I'm not some sex-obsessed fiend.
no subject
What do you think is going to be too far in the bedroom for me, exactly?
no subject
[ Except that Aziraphale thinks it's going to stop at some heavy petting. Maybe a little under-the-shirt action. Possibly some dry humping. He doesn't really want to do the dry humping bit, so maybe they can just call it a day shortly before that. ]
no subject
[He's never wanted to do this like he wants to do this right now, but that's a whole different story.]
no subject
But... you've never wanted to, and that's the whole point. If it's going to be a chore for you, I'd rather we just refrained.
It won't detract from how I feel about you, or how I feel about us. If you're worried, don't.
no subject
Oh.]
You mean when it was work and I was instructed to fuck humans for specific temptations? Yeah, that was a bit of a chore, angel.
This? Not a chore. Absolutely, 100% here for this.
no subject
...You've never sought out paramours outside of work?
[ He's just a little stunned to be the exception. ]
no subject
Never anyone else I wanted.
no subject
Crowley...
[ He had said six thousand years. And Aziraphale is starting to believe him.
He smiles, lopsided and lovestruck, eyes full of awe and wonder. ]
no subject
He'd already fallen for one very particular ethereal creature.]
Glad we cleared that up, because I was getting a little worried about what you were expecting.
no subject
[ He frowns deeply. ]
Did you take me for Marquis de Sade, my dear? Quite a leap!
no subject
[He shrugs]
You've always been full of surprises.
no subject
--Do. You?
