Her voice after the long silence elicits a twitch, though not a flinch at least. There is a visible difference. The Soldier glances at her sidelong, through hair and lashes, then shrugs helplessly. "I can try. But it isn't always conscious choice. Sometimes it just. Happens." It draws in a slow breath and finishes, "But I'll try." That's the best it can do.
