It starts with a network post, and then a song begins to play in the Invincible, loud enough to be heard throughout Bonfire Square. Welcome to the scavenger hunt, everyone! You've been tasked with finding 25 "items" in and around Beacon, so hop to it!

Please remember to ICly report your findings on Robin's network post if you want them to count toward a prize! As a further reminder, you're free to interpret the list items however you/your character would like, and you're free to assume your character can find all of these things somewhere in town without running into trouble! Just don't stray too far from town to go gallivanting off into the wilderness, as that might be dangerous. This includes finding forest spirits! You're welcome to NPC your own forest spirit encounters, just like in our last event.

[ This is so dumb. She is so dumb. Has Coraline been surreptitiously staring at Hope for the past… who knows how long? Maybe so. Seriously how hard can it be? Go up, ask for a selfie, give some bullshit answer if asked why, then submit it and RUN. She’ll probably never see the post. Hopefully she’ll never see the post. (Hopefully she’ll see the post? This is how flirting works right??? Except she’s not flirting. Cause they’re dead. Duh.)

A Work of Art - Kuai

[ Coraline was tracking down Mr. Grandmaster (as she’s taken to calling him in her head) for two reasons. One. The whole work of art thing. What’s more artsy than an ice sculpture? And ice sculpture made with superpowers!!! Two… to apologize for being an ass that whole… Week. Yeah, she’s going to leave it at that.

The thing is, he’s been weirdly hard to get ahold of, and it’s only at nearly the end of the hunt when she manages to actually spot him. So now, he has a shadow child teenager bearing down on him, volume control utterly forgotten in her excitement. ]

[Kuai hasn't felt much like being outside lately. He's done his daily meditation and training and then wandered away to disappear into the woods and think about things, or go back to his room and wonder about what's going on back home.

He's starting to get rather depressed about the situation here, so he's almost a little relieved when someone speaks to him. And there is a small smile tugging the corner of his mouth at being addressed by his title.]

[At least he didn't say she could battle for one like he did to Cassie Cage.]

[ Wow valid. At his agreement to hear her out, she nearly vibrates in excitement for a moment. Maybe he doesn’t hate her!!! Amazing!!!! ]

Could you uh… make a snowman again. It’s for the scavenger hunt!

[ She grins brightly, momentarily forgetting the second reason for her approach because seriously, ICE POWERS. How… cool one could say. ]

[It's not an outright No though, as he still thinks this is kind of adorable.]

[ She shrugs. That's all she's been doing for like... a week. So it's kinda nice running around, even if it's ultimately for something kinda dumb. ]

[ She runs towards the snowman and immediately starts posing with it, trying to get the best lighting possible in this dark ass town. ]

[He senses that. Don't think he doesn't. He gets teenagers dumped on him to train all the time, he is familiar with all varieties of pouty look. He figures this one is somewhere between: you're old and boring, and whyyyyyyyy nooooooot?]

No one knows what's going on. But she has been through several resets and has more information than the rest of us.

Yeah that’s true… I don’t know. I’d like to think she’s just doing her best with the information she has??? Even if it doesn’t seem like it. Cuz like, her position seems really shitty.

I'm not sure how anyone would get to her for a transfer of responsibilities but I don't see why not.

I think it’s more they’re hiding something… that or they’re like, desperate? Idk, I don’t think most people would like willingly stay up there alone.

[ She frowns under her mask, fidgeting slightly as she turns her gaze towards the general direction of the light house.

[Coraline might be trying to be subtle, but Hope has noticed. Perhaps not to the extent of how often, but she's caught the edge of her gaze a time or two at this point, enough for her to wonder if there's something on her face or if there's paper stuck to her shoe.

So when the girl finally approaches her, words rushed out in a flurry, Hope just looks confused, brows drawing together.]

Um, yeah, sure. [That seems like a pretty simple request. Maybe it's about the scavenger hunt? After all, she'd skimmed it; there were a few different requests that involved taking pictures with people.] Are you...okay, though?

[She seemed slightly freaked out, honestly.]

[ She nearly slumps over in relief when Hope says yes, only to tense up once more at her question. Oh god is she acting like… super weird? She is isn’t she!? Coraline screams internally, extremely glad in this moment that her face is basically completely covered because holy shit she can’t even imagine what expression she’s making right now. ]

Oh uh yeah!

[ She squeaks out before wincing. Doing great.

[Just because she notices that the girl seems a little off-kilter, that doesn't mean she has any idea why, because Hope isn't exactly the best as figuring out why people act the way they do.

[ Coraline's crying inside. She can't believe her bullshit plan is working. She shuffles beside Hope, doing her absolute best not to touch anywhere weird and potentially creepy seeming cause man wouldn't that suck? ]

[She summons up a pretty genuine smile for the picture, not really finding anything about this particularly creepy or anything. She's not even sure which thing she needs, but it doesn't really matter. She's not about to rain on anyone's parade.]

Not really? My uncle had me draw a picture for him, and I'm okay with helping out people that are into it, but this isn't really my kind of thing.
