It starts with a network post, and then a song begins to play in the Invincible, loud enough to be heard throughout Bonfire Square. Welcome to the scavenger hunt, everyone! You've been tasked with finding 25 "items" in and around Beacon, so hop to it!
Please remember to ICly report your findings on Robin's network post if you want them to count toward a prize! As a further reminder, you're free to interpret the list items however you/your character would like, and you're free to assume your character can find all of these things somewhere in town without running into trouble! Just don't stray too far from town to go gallivanting off into the wilderness, as that might be dangerous. This includes finding forest spirits! You're welcome to NPC your own forest spirit encounters, just like in our last event.

Ahh! It's the Rat King! From the sound of it, it's gnawing its way through boxes of cereal and instant mashed potatoes, leaving quite a mess in its wake. Quick, catch it for a selfie before it wriggles away!
(Feel free to do whatever you like with this encounter! Matt can catch the angry little thing, or the Rat King can once again escape into the darkness, up to you!)

area of town: The forests, west of the church!
notes: Daylight is going to s i n g and hope a forest spirit is interested by what they hear. Instead of regular human singing, he's going to use Galateion melodies and the basic binary versions of that. They sound a lot this!

The spirit flutters down from their hole to buzz around Daylight, not unlike a hummingbird, and they start to harmonize with him! All of the heads apparently have their own syrinx, which allows them to sing independently from each other. What was once an elegant solo turns into a dramatic performance as at least seven or eight voices play back-up to Daylight's singing.
The forest spirit will hang out long enough for Daylight to grab a selfie and to sing a couple more songs if he wishes, and then it's back into the hole! Rest is essential to every musical sensation.
...But, they'll be back! For the rest of the event, this spirit can occasionally be found in Bonfire Square, cooing their little harmonized songs at anyone who will listen. They're happy to appear in photos, as well. They are a benevolent celebrity.

Daylight is ecstatic by the presence of this very talented bird and sings with all he's got in return.
It's been a while since he's sung a collection symphony with someone(s) but! He definitely does it with spirit. He's also going to definitely take the opportunity to take a selfie with the spirit and sing along until they leave. He makes sure to half-bow in respect, his winglets canting to a 'respectful' position as a sign of gratitude to the very talented bird.
And during his eager scampering about of the scavenger hunt, Daylight will be dropping by the Bonfire Square when he learns about their presence. When the forest spirit happens to be there, Daylight will greet them with a friendly chirp-trill and then present a thank you gift for the group singing earlier:
An appropriately-sized (for the spirit) paper prize ribbon. It has the words, 'Greatest Crooners' written on it. A little messy in appearance since it's tiny in his servos but he made sure it looked presentable enough!

The Greatest Crooners (that's their name now) will wear this ribbon very proudly. It gets in the way of some of their faces, but that's just too bad. They look absolutely fly.

notes: He's trying to be an artistic instagram artist while also being a cheeky asshole about all of this. Those aren't really skills but just who he is as a person.

But then comes the sound of something slithering through the chaos, knocking around under the remains of pews. Oh, it's a forest spirit! The little thing worms their way through the wreckage, stopping every now and then to collect an interesting shape or a shiny thing in their beak. They seem to be decorating their wiry fur! How... fabulous!
If approached, they are shy and embarrassed to be CAUGHT IN THE ACT, but they'll get over it. They're friendly!

He doesn't have much, especially not anything as fabulous as what it's already collected. But he does happen to have a very colorful fishing lure stored away in Armiger.
Holding it in the palm of his hand, he lowers himself down so he's more on their level before showing the lure off.
"Hey there. Feel like doing me a favor? I need a picture of a fabulous outfit. And you definitely fit the bill. Let me take a picture with you, and I'll give you this in return. What do you say?"

area of town: Post Office
notes: She's wondering if she'll find something that could even resemble a letter at the post office. It's... post office, after all. Does Postmaster General want to help her and take a picture with her and the letter?

They hold up their letter, and the picture will be a touch blurry on account of their inability to hold still. Too exciting!!! They will also sign her tablet with a melting crayon if she shows them the selfie.
When the picture has been taken, the Postmaster General will press the letter into Xayah's hands, and after what's probably a few minutes of language barrier charades, it's clear that they want her to deliver this letter to the library! The autograph was on the house, but photo ops with a celeb such as the Postmaster General ain't free, it seems.

She does make a small stop at her house to pick a few treats (she read on the network that the librarian likes treats and sweets). There's nothing much in her cupboard, save for some sandwich cookies (no idea how she got them). But she brings them with her and heads to the library.
Politely, she waits at the front desk, where the books are being checked out, ears twitching for any sound that the Librarian is around and nearby. She can wait, she's in no hurry.

notes: He's gone out this far partly in search of, yes, a forest spirit larger than him. Yikes. He's terrible at the ocarina - his is already cracked and glued from having been fumbled more than once - but he'll try and play a tune or two from home to pass the time and see if it brings any curious listeners.

When Rosinante turns, he'll spot a tall forest spirit lurking just outside of his lantern light. They're breathing heavily and dragging a number of metallic chains in their wake, but they don't move to attack. In fact, they jostle their long head side to side in what might be... a wave?
Hello!
The forest spirit will allow Rosinante to snap a picture with them before shambling off again, repeating the ocarina song like they're mumbling an inside joke to themselves.
