As the night goes on, however, perhaps his partner will find themselves feeling a little more annoyed than usual, or suddenly frightened, once Javert realizes what's happening. There are moments, too, when Javert is filled with an overwhelming wave of affection. Or when someone lands a hit on him in combat practice, which his partner would feel quite clearly. )
