"I would appreciate what advice you have to share," she says. "I don't know what is practical, and I don't know how clothing is meant to be sewn together." She gives a puff of rather humourless laughter. "Usha and I made seasilk clothing to wear when we went to Valedon, but 'frostbite' was not a concern in that climate, either. It was a very simple assortment of rags taken from other weaving."
