That is the one thing Soldat is not generally polite about: it takes being nudged to offer a name, even in the middle of actual, proper introductions. (I mean, it is a pretty pathetic kinda name. It's still mine. Shut up.)

"I go by Soldat," they say. "Rosinante and I have worked together many times." They're not friends, because somehow Soldat regularly manages to piss Rosinante off when they try to do friend-type things... but they do work well together, anyway.
