Rosinante takes the bottles easily enough in one hand, the plate carefully in the other, held away from where his lantern hangs so as not to bang the two together. This matters, this is important, and he's going to pay attention. No falling.

If only it was always that easy, but hey, so far so good as he starts toward the stairs.

"Yeah," he replies with a smile. "Of course. Why?" As if they could bear to be apart after so much time - only a year for him and yet he feels it deeply. Law has made it very clear just how difficult thirteen times that amount was for him.
