To be reassured is not a familiar experience for Reiju; she's not entirely certain how to take it. She doesn't need reassurance (well, no, it would be nice to have a little more certainty) but to have it offered, and from a complete stranger... well.

This is a very different place from what she left.

"I'd like that," she agrees readily. The mention of an inn -- food, safety, rest... oh, that's alluring. And she catches herself, because her mental image immediately adds light as well. But that's foolish, isn't it? There won't be bright light flooding a building here.
