Anyone who's fresh from dying who says they're fine that flippantly is clearly lying, but Soldat thinks maybe it wasn't a fair question to ask. Clearly no one fresh from dying, dumped into a dark abandoned forest and a nearly abandoned town, is going to be okay. So they smile a little, attempting reassuring though tone and expression are kind of hard for them, and offer, "Doing better than I did so far. I had a panic attack and pulled a gun on the first person I spotted."
