Once Jason is done talking and has ensured that everyone has what they need or feels like they've been seen (or heard), he makes his way over to Pudding. He was leading all of this, so it hadn't seemed like the time to do so earlier -- but now that most of his duties are wrapped up he knows he needs to talk to her.

It helps that she's serving hot cocoa -- it's an old comfort of his and he'd always made sure to grab some when the Night Market came. It wasn't quite to the level of New Rome's -- to home -- but it was close enough to be comforting.
