Steve's good. Strong. Sora wishes he could be strong like that for Riku. It's... not really the same thing, but it's close enough that it's got him kind of in a way. He thinks he could let Riku beat him up. (He's not sure that that would actually prove anything, though. Confirming the fact that Riku could beat him up and Sora would let him isn't particularly special.)

"You think you mighta died together." Sora curls up over his notes again. He'd do that, too. Has, historically. Would again. (He'd much rather go out first next time.) "You were worth that, even if you didn't know who he was. Or at least, the connection he had in his heart for you told him that. That even if you forgot, he'd remember." That's important. It means that Steve was exactly where he wanted to be.
