"To be fair, I got thrown into the deep end of things myself," he says. He lets out a long sigh, and sets his shoulders a bit. "I'm fine, it's just how I died. Still feels a bit tender t'think about."
He drums his fingers on his coffee mug. "Alright, lemme think. I only found out about Uk'otoa and the three temples after the ship we were on got boarded by pirates. The captain of their ship, the Ball-eater--" He stops, and grimaces. "Sorry, the Squall-eater. Her name was Avantika, she was another one of Uk'otoa's chosen."
He waves a hand idly, and makes a floating bust-image of a strikingly gorgeous elvish woman, with chestnut-brown skin and bright red hair, vanishing it shortly after. "She told me everything she knew about Uk'otoa, and together our teams went and found the first temple. Killed a bunch of snake people, found a temple full of magic fruit that sent Nott and Caleb tripping out, and she put her crystal--" He lifts his hand, and another illusion appears - the cloven crystal, embedded in his palm "--so she had one, I had one - she put it into the temple before I could, so she got his first blessing."
He grips the mug in both hands again, looking idly away. "She got killed before me and my team found the third orb, but I died after putting that orb in the second temple, while we were escaping."
