Scarlett probably could. Soldat wishes sometimes they could control how they felt that well. Mostly they just hide feelings, not master them. (Of course, it's questionable, really, whether Will is even mastering them or just in full-on denial. Soldat knows how to do denial.)

They swallow once and nod. That is absolutely a true statement. "It is. She was. She called me Tinman." As if that could encompass the feeling of "gave me my first nickname" or "taught me how to be friends" or "forgave me for shooting her". But Will might not appreciate the whole... feelings thing. Not if his clear emotional reaction gets quashed down into that one statement. So this will have to do.
