"You've changed." Maes says simply. "You were just Sora before, but then you got mixed with Skyler and even though your memories and personalities are distinct, that's still an influence on you that has impacted you in major ways."

Maes gently taps his fingers on the table, mulling that over and trying to think of his own set of changes. It wasn't quite the same, Roy had never denied their friendship, but he did remember how he had felt when Keith and Pidge had been here in Beacon briefly with no memory of him or what they had worked on together in the Circle.

"Is there something stopping you from just...I don't know...starting over in a way? Or is this what you were getting at with that whole soulmate thing?"
