[Quentin takes a sip of the coffee in his hand and raises an eyebrow at the guy.]

[Eliot came back, on repeat and drumming to the beat of his heart with every breath he takes and how can Quentin not be just a little bit happy about that, even if it means his best friend died. Again. Out there in the real world somewhere, but he's here and he's breathing-- kind of.

So, Quentin is in a good mood for once and he smiles a little.]


That's not how magic works, for one. You'd need-- wow, you'd need anchors. To keep the spell in place, and. And also, you would need ingredients for the warming spell. Lots of it, since you'd need to place some all around the circle you want and then... the wind. It can blow it all away in a minute and you would be stuck doing it all over again.

It would be easier to just, you know, magically heat up a bunch of big rocks and place them around randomly. It would work kind of like this? Only, with magic.
