[ closed ] but for now it's time to run, it's time to run.

characters: sam winchester, jo harvelle
location: the woods, near the armory
date/time: probably fwd-dated to some time after the arrival for sammy
content: spirits are chasing a winchester, what else is new? except sam finds himself out of bullets and very nearly out of options. thankfully another hunter is nearby to hear his call. a continuation from here.
warnings: nothing as of yet, will note it if things change!

[ It's the sound of a woman's voice, a familiar woman's voice, that has Sam weighing his own options. Does he respond? Should he respond? Is it safe to respond?

But he'd asked for help and someone answered, told him to meet here at the armory. Paranoid or not, this might be his only chance.

Besides, he'd managed to briefly make his way inside, grabbing the nearest anti-spirit thing he could find, which happened to be a pretty gnarly looking iron pole. It's ... not even a weapon, really, and would probably do better to stoke a fire than stab a monster. It's no salt-gun either, but it would keep the spirits back home at bay if he took a swing at them. He's not sure if the same rules apply here, but it's the only intel he's got to work with.

After some deliberation, Sam steps out into the open, armed only by said metal and a hell of a lot of gumption.

When he sees Jo Harvelle standing there, alert and expectant, he never thought she'd be the spirit in these woods he'd see. Like an apparition from his past life, all of that guilt comes back again in a cold wash over his entire body. How many years had it been? ]

Jo. You're —

[ The rest of whatever he might have said stops short at his lips. He's almost too stunned to make a move. ]
