It isn't! But Sora's too dense to pick up that someone thinks he's dense right away. He lives in a little happy bubble of his own ignorance, and if you ask him... He'll be grumpy about it, but it's true. He does catch that stare, though, and mistakes it for them just paying close attention! Which is good! Good listeners are good.

"Do you think I'm making it complicated?" Sora looks at his fingers, both outstretched and curled, then furrows his brow. "Uh, so, how do I uncomplicate it? I mean, I could just call you Mewtwo and that'd be okay, but then I'd feel bad that I didn't understand try to understand why, especially when you just told me why! I wanna get things right the first time around."

Which is kind of rich when it's taking him third and fourth and fifth passes to get it all straight, but he's trying his best to be good and listen well.
