He supposes Sora has a point. Some people who were alive often didn't celebrate or honor life that much either. For someone who doesn't seem all there all of the time he can certainly be astute about some things. Perhaps it's just an understanding of people, which is a different kind of skill.

He thinks back to waking up at The Temple. To realizing he had a new lease on life, even a temporary one, and how he started spending his time in pursuit of a way to make it a little less temporary. Maybe he hadn't thrown himself a birthday party when the time came, but he also refused to just give up and accept that 29 was his last one. He'd certainly found himself thinking about how he was now 30 and probably getting closer to 31 since being here.

"I think you have a point. Whether we're dead or not, we still exist in some way right now. We're having this conversation...meeting new people that should be impossible to meet. If that's not continuing to live, then i really don't know what is."

There's a beat and then he asks, "So when is your birthday? If you're so gung-ho on learning everyone else's seems only fair you should share yours."
