[Given the weather, Maes was not expecting visitors. He had the advantage of teleporting when he wished, but this seemed like a sign to hole up for a bit, study some of his notes, and mull over new possibilities for exploration. The downtown area was far larger than he had anticipated, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to explore that further or leave that to other individuals.
It was in the middle of such thoughts that the knock came. Maes glanced at the fire place, not wanting to part from its warmth, before deciding that the person at the door had to be MUCH colder.
