It's a good point that we'd have to take precautions to make sure we could still access a distant stockpile if things go south. ( food they can't get to is food that isn't at all helpful. not to mention the more remote, the more likely it is to walk off before they actually want it to. )

That's an idea. We could use more safe places during attacks, it'd be two birds with one stone if we could accomplish both at once.
