Half of our people aren't eating. Because they're sleeping.

I'm keeping track of how much we're going through. And there are still items in the store we haven't brought here. There is enough left for at least three weeks if the sleepers stay asleep. Until well after the next ferry is due. Even if I keep eating twice what most people do.

[Which they are doing. For once they're not even remotely trying to resist hunger. They need to be in optimal condition in order to protect people.]

There's stew on the stove I started this morning. Or sandwiches. Or I could make pasta.
