[ Allie has good reason to be hesitant when it comes to taking part in a feast prepared by others. The events in New Ham, still too fresh in her mind for her to be able to touch the food. While it makes her coming today rather pointless, she's forcing herself to be social. Refusing to become like Harry, hidden away in a room and barely being seen for days.
She arrives early enough, slipping through the throngs of people who don't seem to harbor the same concerns as her. Some of them already piling plates with food or eating straight from the dishes that Allie gives a wide berth, despite her stomach's protests. ]
Was everything here prepared by the Spirits? [ Keeping her voice low, though she's not quite able to mask the suspicion in her tone. ]
DON'T CUT ME DOWN First Wave of Attacks
[ Allie might not have realized something was horribly wrong if she hadn't been looking at Kol the moment he slumped against the table. His name rising up and leaving her lips just as the sounds of the other spirits broke through the early murmurs of confusion and concern. She's not a complete stranger when it comes to violence. How she'd found herself here is proof enough of that but a mob of scared teenagers trying to play a deadly game of King of the Castle is a far cry from a swarm of death in the form of hostile spirits. Even when it was all going to hell back in New Ham, she'd never been truly afraid. If only she could say the same now as she stares into the glowing green eyes of a spirit as it flashes a mouthful of razor-sharp teeth in her direction.
For one long, sickening moment she find herself rooted to the spot. Her lips parted as if a scream might rise up as the spirit starts coming straight for her. She can't say who it is that streaks in front of her, colliding with the creature. The sound of bones breaking, jarring her out of her terrified stupor and slamming her back into the present. ]
Kol. [ The name of the person she'd last registered passing her lips as her body is spurred into motion. Allie reaching for the splintered remains of a broken chair to use as both shield and weapon. If she were smart, she would have bolted for the Inn. Gotten herself out of the fight rather than remain a liability but there are just as many down as there are trying to stop the onslaught and she can't bring herself to flee and leave the half of them undefended while the rest are inevitably overwhelmed. ]
Wake-up! [ An edge of desperation and panic working its way into her voice once she's able to reach Kol's side. Her hand snaking out to shake him violently, though he doesn't so much as groan from the action. ] Damn it Kol, wake-up!!
[ She's not the only one trying in vain to rouse those who have passed out, she realizes. Allie still holding the chair like a lion tamer as her gaze skates over the chaos around them. ]
Forget it! [ Calling out to somebody who attempting the same as she is. ] We have to get them out of the way. The lanterns too.
SO I'M LOOKING FOR AN OPEN DOOR The Invincible
[ The splintered wooden leg of a chair is hardly a formidable weapon but when you're 5'5 and look every bit the 17 year old that you are? You could be carrying a machine gun and not look particularly scary, a fact that Allie has long since accepted. Still, she won't go anywhere at the Invincible without it gripped tightly in her had. Refusing to be caught by surprise should the spirits manage to breach their defenses.
She can be found doing what she can to help in the only way she knows how; Checking on those who have passed out. Grabbing bedding and trying to find places for people to sleep. Her own room isn't much but has a couple of mattresses for anyone who has found themselves displaced ad she'll happily suggest somebody stay there if they look like they're ready to drop. Her greatest concern is how long they can all last in here with the supplies that they have at the Inn and that concern is why she can often be found peeking through the slats of wood that have been used to bar the windows. ]
How much food do you think one person could carry if they managed to make it to the general store and back? [ Musing out aloud as she senses the presence of somebody moving closer to her. ]
