It's true, and it's frustrating. He's seen her in silhouette in person, at quite a distance, and that doesn't really count any more except that it does suggest she exists at the lighthouse and isn't just making the whole thing up. That shouldn't even be something he should need to consider, but she hasn't inspired much trust.

Daylight said he could try to figure out how close they are by measuring something called parallax, but he needs a known distance first.
