Could be a spirit, though, a larger one than I've ever heard of. And then some. ( Robin had arranged the ferry, and she was able to communicate with the spirits better than anyone... though that didn't necessarily make their under the lake tentacled companion a spirit. which only left one to wonder what it was. ) If it was a spirit, Robin would be able to tell you more.
