( he's lucky she's in the bathroom, he takes the narrow creaky steps like an old man. it's shameful and at least a little embarrassing, so he's glad she missed it. Matt might have accepted that Elektra isn't waiting for the first obvious weakness to destroy him somewhere between seeing her again and having her take care of him more than once at this point, but he's still a creature of pride. he'd like to hold onto at least some of his dignity, in shattered scraps though it is.
Matt is sitting on the bed by the time she joins him. the same side he used to take in the past, if she remembers — even when he sleeps alone, he favors the left side. apparently some things don't change. he's wearily rubbing at his shoulder, mostly silent and staring straight ahead as he finally takes proper stock of the injury. Kettara put it back in place well; as stiff as it is, it could be worse. Claire had warned him that after it went out once, it was more likely to happen again. she was right, as usual.
he shifts slightly, releasing his shoulder and nodding toward the open side of the bed. he doesn't say anything, though the gesture is as obvious as words — just get in already.)
