[He runs his hands through his hair, barely damp since he hadn't really gotten IN the water.]

Well, that's a little better for a haul.

[He's a little more tired now for sure, but perhaps the only way to really tell is to notice he moves a little slower. He makes sure the crate is pulled far enough onto the beach to avoid the tide and then, without much hesitation, flops down onto the sand with his back resting against the crate.]
