Two thousand years was a long time - he, of course, had things, or, in his life had had things that had been so old and in his possession for so long, but only one had been given to him and he'd given it away.

It was impressive that any human with a human's lifespan would be able to hold onto such an artifact; it must be extremely useful.

"I can," he says. "Breathe underwater, I mean - I should go," he insists.
