Nothing here makes much sense to Eleven yet. When a strange man in stranger clothes revealsa cake, though, she squints in mild suspicion.
This, she thinks, she's been taught about. Hop has been very clear that she should not go anywhere with a lot of people, but among the many rules enforced upon her especially in the wake of her desire to go out during last year's Halloween, is the following:
Never accept candy from a stranger.
She doesn't know if cake technically qualifies as candy, or if it falls under Max' prompt of 'we make our own rules', but think perhaps she will err on the side of caution for now.
