it's true, he can't exactly see magic. though it's not true to say he can't perceive anything about it. he can sense the pieces lifting and moving, clattering against each other until they levitate neatly through the air. it's bizarre enough that Matt pauses to just listen and focus, trying to make sense of what seems nonsensical to a man who has only ever lived in an unmagical existence befor ehe ended up here.
